PEG Companies Rebrands Hospitality Management Division to ‘PEG Hospitality Group’

What started as a strategic joint-venture partnership between Pearson Hospitality and PEG Companies in 2016, has evolved into the acquisition, vertical integration, and now, rebranding of the leading hospitality management group.

PROVO, Utah – PEG Companies [PEG], a commercial real estate investment firm known for its unique approach to creating value, has formalized the rebranding of its hospitality management company. Effective immediately, the entity formally known as ‘In-Group Hospitality’ has rebranded under the new name of PEG Hospitality Group.

The rebrand represents the latest of several steps that PEG has taken to vertically align the organization since rolling up all subsidiary companies in January 2020. Today, PEG is a full-service firm with five highly synergistic companies—PEG Capital Partners, PEG Development, PEG Construction, PEG Property Group, and PEG Hospitality Group—that each manage a different aspect of PEG’s investments. Operating under one umbrella company allows PEG to have greater process controls, improved continuity, better service to investors, and increased dedication to PEG’s brand integrity.

PEG Hospitality Group’s roots date back to 1959 at the Provo, Utah TraveLodge. In the 70’s and 80’s, the family company, originally known as ‘Pearson Enterprises,’ grew with Hilton Hotels and other full-service properties involved in the redevelopment of downtown Salt Lake City. In 2016, In-Group Hospitality was born through a joint-venture partnership with PEG. Today, PEG Hospitality Group employs approximately 1,100 team members and operates more than 3,500 hotel rooms at 30 properties across 19 states and counting.

“Our hotel management company was built on our long-standing passion for coming together as family to provide exceptional hospitality and service. Now, we continue that tradition as a key part of the PEG Companies family, providing the hospitality experience for all our guests,” said Graydon Pearson, President of PEG Hospitality Group.

“We are excited to integrate the rich history and deep expertise of Graydon and his team into our full-service organization,” said PEG Companies Founder/CEO Cameron Gunter. “Working together as a unified company will further position us to execute on our vision of delivering superior returns for our investors, providing meaningful careers for our team members, and creating exceptional environments for our tenants, residents, and guests.”
