As the first CPO in the organization's history, Rachel Asbury will further systematize and strengthen PEG’s commitment to employee satisfaction, engagement, retention, and well-being.

PROVO, Utah – In a strategic move to prioritize its most important asset—it’s people—PEG Companies [“PEG”] today announced the addition of a new executive position at the company, Chief People Officer [“CPO”]. Leading the charge as the firm’s inaugural CPO, Rachel Asbury, a steadfast member of the PEG team who previously served as Vice President, Human Resources; Associate General Counsel, will build upon PEG’s strong foundation to empower team members and further amplify its dynamic culture.

Asbury brings a wealth of experience for cultivating thriving workplace environments to her new role. Over the last several years under Asbury’s direction, PEG has built a strong corporate environment through the addition and improvement of several critical programs including companywide employee onboarding processes, benefits packages, managerial and leadership trainings, PEG’s ‘One Team, One Vision’ meetings among 1,200-plus team members nationwide, compliance and legal matters, company policies, and more. Under Asbury’s guidance, PEG received the prestigious honor of being named a Top Workplaces winner in 2023. Now, stepping into the role of CPO, Rachel stands ready to bolster PEG’s employee engagement, fortify its culture, and drive the company’s overall success to new heights.

“Prioritizing employee well-being is critical for forward-thinking companies like ours,” explained PEG Founder/Co-CEO Cameron Gunter. “Rachel’s passion and experience in fostering a culture of inclusion, support, and progress makes her the ideal leader to guide our team through this next exciting phase of growth here at PEG.”

Initially, Asbury’s initiatives in her new role will include building on PEG’s commitment to the team member experience as a crucial factor in the organization’s success and identifying and promoting key drivers to team member engagement to attract and retain top talent.

“The culture at PEG is routinely cited as a key factor in our success,” Asbury said. “I am thrilled for the opportunity to build on that culture and to be in a position to advocate for our present and future team members.”
