KETCHUM, Idaho, June 4, 2019 – PEG Companies (PEG), a leader in real estate investment and development across North America, today launched an outreach survey with the goal of gathering input from residents of the City of Ketchum and surrounding areas. The Utah-based commercial real estate operator is currently working through the entitlement process with the City, in order to attain a building permit that would approve the construction of a full-service boutique hotel on a vacant parcel located where the west side of Main Street meets East River Street in the Gateway District.
The 10-question survey, which requires about seven minutes to complete, asks participants to weigh in on development priorities and design preferences as well as provides open fields where people can ask questions and express concerns. According to PEG, the project will follow a slow and steady timeline and incorporate elements inspired by the community.
“Having developed in Ketchum before, we understand how uniquely invested residents are in the preservation of their beautiful city. As a company, we aim to design a hotel that blends seamlessly with Ketchum’s cultural and geographical landscape and to add value to the community. That is why we are asking people to share their priorities and concerns with us through the survey,” said Cameron Gunter, Chief Executive Officer at PEG.
In 2005, PEG built Frenchman’s Place, a high-performing 62,000 SF mixed-use development that has light industrial space on the main level, both affordable and market-rate housing units on the second and third floors, and underground parking with convenient pedestrian access.
“I am delighted that PEG has chosen to invest in Ketchum, and I am encouraged by their planned community outreach program,” said Ketchum Mayor Neil Bradshaw. “A project that maintains the charm and character of Ketchum is central to our vision for the city, and community input is essential in this process. I hope many stakeholders participate in the survey.”
PEG Companies aims to break ground on the boutique hotel in Spring 2020.
