An accountant is a key member of the PEG team. We are in search of someone who is outgoing, personable and very efficient in solving accounting problems. Our ideal candidate is able to prioritize tasks based on established goals. The first priority will be to give excellent service to our staff, the second will be to provide timely and accurate month end reports and assistance to the rest of the team. Responsibilities
- Maintain monthly financials for various entities in our property portfolio of hospitality, multi-family, and commercial assets
- Manage monthly loan and insurance payments
- Prepare monthly loan amortization schedules
- Maintain the fixed asset and depreciation schedules
- Assist with real estate tax payments
- Assist with 1099-INT filings
- Assist with capitalization of projects and transitions from development to asset management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1-2 years’ experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial accounting standards
- Yardi experience preferred, but not required
- Must be self-motivated and able to focus on task until completion
- Ability to think strategically and operate with extreme attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have a friendly, service oriented attitude as much of your time will be spent helping other teams and supporting their needs
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Willingness to jump in a learn processes and systems
- Ability to leverage technology to enhance efficiency
