PEG Fund – Senior Accountant

Job summary

The PEG Fund – Senior Accountant is responsible for working with a team of professionals to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all quarterly and annual audited and non-audited financial reporting deliverables for 20+ investment vehicles. The Fund – Senior Accountant will report to the Fund – Assistant Controller and must be able to operate in a deadline-driven and collaborative environment. The Fund – Senior Accountant must be a team player, self-starter, well organized, detail oriented, have the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and have a desire to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and partner statements
  • Prepare financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other standards, where applicable, as they relate to investment companies, principles of consolidation and fair value measurement
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and documentation of policies and procedures; and maintain financial reporting controls
  • Interpret fund and investor governing documents to ensure proper application of terms for investor allocations, management fees and carried interest
  • Assist with the coordination of outside third-party service provider relationships (Fund Admin, Tax, Audit, Placement Agents, etc.)
  • Drive continual process improvement through the use and implementation of technology
  • Follow PEG policies and procedures and comply with state and federal laws
Qualifications
  • Self-starter
  • In the pursuit of their bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Some accounting experience is preferred
  • The ability to work with people from various backgrounds
  • A willingness and desire to deal with complex problems in a collaborative team environment
  • Advanced MS Excel and strong written and verbal communication skills
