Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

Job summary

The Manager on the Corporate Finance team will assist in driving the performance of PEG Companies and its subsidiaries through detailed financial planning and analysis. Additionally, the Manager will manage a team of analysts that provide financial planning and analysis to the individual properties managed by the property management companies. This position requires an understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and the ability to forecast how current performance will impact the company in both cashflow and profitability. This position will have a high degree of exposure throughout the organization (including the Executive Team) and requires the ability to take complex information and present it concisely to management and asset managers. Additionally, this position will have access to sensitive information which will require a high degree of integrity and trust.

Responsibilities
  • Work with your team to provide the Executive Team and business leaders across the organization financial information and analysis for various strategic initiatives and performance metrics.
  • Prepare a variety of monthly reports to measure and track performance across the different verticals of PEG and the properties they manage.
  • Perform monthly variance and trend analysis for PEG Companies and its subsidiary companies each containing multiple departments.
  • Consolidate financials (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements) from each of PEG Companies’ 5 subsidiaries and present forecast to the Executive Team.
  • Work closely with department managers to create and maintain an accurate financial forecast for PEG Companies and manage a team that provides the same services to the property management companies.
  • Create the monthly financial package that is sent to the Executive Team and Board of Directors for PEG Companies and manage a team that provides the same services to the property management companies for each property they manage.
  • Create and maintain annual budgets for each subsidiary company with their respective departments and manage a team that provides the same services to the property management companies.
  • Work closely with the accounting team, corporate, fund, and property levels to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain forecasts for PEG Companies and its subsidiaries as well as manage a team that will work with the property management companies to budget individual properties.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, Masters preferred
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (clear, concise, and confident)
  • Strong analytical/logical mind-set with an emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work well in a dynamic and growing company that is constantly evolving
  • Highly competent in Excel
  • Prefer experience with Yardi and M3 accounting solutions
