Asset Manager – Hospitality

Job summary

Reporting to the Managing Director of Asset Management or Director, Hospitality Asset Management, this position will be responsible as the “Owner’s Representative” for the oversight of an assigned national Portfolio of acquired and developed Hotels. The Asset Manager will collaborate with other key departments and investors to successfully execute the property level business plans.

  • Manage assigned hotel portfolio consisting of medium to high intensity assets from inception through exit to maximize return to the investors
  • Direct brokers activities: negotiate leases and dispositions
  • Prepare portfolio review and investor reports
  • Determine property values and develop operating forecasts and projections
  • Coordinate with property management on annual budgets, marketing strategy, and operations
  • Create and execute property level business plans
  • Support due diligence activities as part of acquisition teams
  • Assist in execution of annual unit goals and objectives
  • Oversee property lifecycle functions: new project integration, redevelopment, value creation projects, capital improvements, etc.
  • Oversee property support functions: insurance, reserves, real estate taxes, etc.
  • Support accounting and finance – refinance, lender information, and general accounting
  • Support Yardi reporting and assist with special projects
  • Moderate travel
  • Other duties and projects that may be assigned
  • BA/BS degree in economics, finance, real estate, or related field. MBA or graduate degree in finance or real estate a plus
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in the hospitality side of the real estate, with background in either asset or portfolio management or property management.  Exposure to other asset types a plus.
  • Experience with development projects and construction methods
  • Expertise in property management / leasing / operations
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook required, Argus and Yardi a plus
