Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis – Property Operations

Job summary

The analyst on the Property Operations Finance team will assist in driving the performance of assets operated by PEG’s property management companies, In-Group Hospitality, and PEG Property Group, through detailed financial planning and analysis. This position requires an understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and the ability to forecast how current performance will impact the future performance of assets cashflow and profitability. This position will have a high degree of exposure throughout the organization and requires the ability to take complex information and present it concisely to management. Additionally, this position will have access to sensitive information which will require a high degree of integrity and trust.

Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly variance and trend analysis for all managed assets currently in operation
  • Create and maintain annual budgets for each managed asset currently in operation
  • Meet with the business leaders of the organization including regional operations teams and company presidents to review variance analysis and update forecasts monthly using the information gained in your conversations with the business leaders
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to efficiently produce requested data/insights
  • Create the monthly financial reporting that is sent to owners and other stakeholders
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Work directly with teams on properties to ensure accurate planning and that performance to plan is achieved
  • Perform market research, and develop understanding of comparable properties in order to benchmark performance of managed properties
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 0 – 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (clear, concise, and confident)
  • Strong analytical/logical mind-set with an emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work well in a dynamic and growing company that is constantly evolving
  • Highly competent in Excel
